All students will have important decisions to make during their time at school – whether it is year 8 options, Year 10 work experience, post-16 or post-18 choices.

We encourage you to be aspirational and remain open to the world of possibilities when considering your career path. You will have opportunities to explore different career paths, be inspired and understand the skills, qualifications and experiences you would need to be successful in that career.

The following resources will help you to understand the range of opportunities available to you in today’s economy and how to acquire the skills and qualifications you need to succeed in the workplaces of the future.

www.unifrog.org/ Unifrog is an online platform that supports students with impartial guidance on a full range of career options. It is a one-stop-shop where students can easily explore their interests, then find and successfully apply for their next best steps.

All students have a log in for Unifrog. Passwords can be reset on the sign in page. Please contact our careers advisor if you cannot access your Unifrog account. 

www.icanbea.org.uk - is a local website covering businesses in Suffolk and Norfolk.  Explore career ideas and opportunities. Find employers, vacancies and job ideas. Play the careers wizard. Every week, companies are added that can offer opportunities, information or experiences to students and job seekers. Students can sign up to receive information from businesses that they “like” on the site.

https://icould.com/  Free and simple to use, the site features over 1000 videos of real people talking about their careers – explaining their job role, career path and how different factors have shaped their choices. This website has a number of videos showcasing careers linked to both sectors and subjects. The Buzz Quiz is a short personality quiz based on Myers-Briggs, linking results to recommended careers for consideration.

www.thesource.me.uk  – this Suffolk website has a range of information for young people including information about apprenticeships and careers.  There is a handy CV building tool which is free to use. The Source provides information and advice in areas such as learning, work, health, relationships, housing, money, leisure and transport.

www.nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk  Careers advice for people of all ages where you can find help with drafting letters, CVs, exploring your skills or seeking careers advice. Search under job profiles to find out about careers – ones you know about and ones you don’t know about!

https://nationalcareersweek.com/ National Careers Week (NCW) is a one-week celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. Our aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance to help support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways.
