Chigwell School Link: Aspiration Programme
We have established strong links with Chigwell School, a co-educational independent boarding and day school in Chigwell, in the Epping Forest district of Essex. Students from Copleston who are applying to Oxbridge or top Russell Group universities had the opportunity to participate in a 3-day residential summer school along with students from Chigwell School and Bobby Moore Academy in Stratford.
The three-day school gave pupils the opportunity to mix with likeminded pupils from other schools, take part in academic workshops, develop confidence skills in the presentation workshops and listen to advice from OCs Kwame Appafram and Henry Bird. They also enjoyed a day in Cambridge with tours of Trinity and Kings as well as a punt down the river.
Our students found the experience incredibly valuable in developing their confidence, growing their aspirations and helping them to learn about interview technique, presentation skills etc.
